Are You An Animated Adventurer?
Do you ever feel spiritually dry?
Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit as Rivers of Living Water – that can flow from within you. (John 7:38)
Do you ever feel powerless?
Jesus said you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you … and you will be His witness. (Acts 1:8)
Do you ever feel lonely, isolated or unloved?
The apostle Paul said that you have received a Spirit of Adoption – with all the rights of a first-born son – who calls out within you “Abba, Papa.”
(Romans 8:15) Paul also implored us to keep being filled with the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 5:18)
The Holy Spirit applies and animates the life, power and wisdom of God in our lives. He makes Jesus real within us. He is the gift of God, and He is God Himself. He gives us intimacy with our Father in heaven. He gives us heavenly power to accomplish heavenly things. And, He inspires us to live like Jesus – holy lives that smack of God’s Kingdom.
Unfortunately, many of us forget this personal life gift Who has made His home within us. We live as if we are left to our own weakened and distorted devices. The Mind, Voice, Heart and Hand of God lives within us, but we are prone to live as if we are on our own. It is a tragic mistake that many of us are unwittingly making nearly every day.
What if we change our approach today? Let’s ask and receive the Holy Spirit in a fresh way. (Luke 11:13) And, let’s walk in step (cooperating) with the Spirt of God. (Galatians 5:25)
Take note of the quality of life that starts to emerge – as well as the power of God among us. Life in the Spirit is accessible to all who believe in Jesus – and He makes such a life an adventure sooooo worth living!
